If you are looking for an authentic, quiet and peaceful life, away from modern life, and if you want to be able to enjoy the beach every day, then the East Coast is made for you! Besides its enchanting lagoon and wonderful bays, you will also appreciate the area for its authentic atmosphere and charming fishing villages. It remained almost intact, with very few shops, and a still wild landscape between each village. A resort for many Mauritians, this region with its many second homes and pieds-à-terre is mainly inhabited on weekends.

Golfers, you can indulge in your favorite activity on sublime courses, such as those of the Anahita, the Legend Golf Course, the Links or the golf of the Île aux Cerfs. Also discover beautiful dive spots where eagle rays, reef sharks and a multitude of colorful fish have taken up residence. Moreover, many water sports such as kite surfing and windsurfing are also practicable in the area, as well as diving or snorkeling.

The East Coast is home to some of the most prestigious real estate developments in Mauritius, such as the Private Homes of One&Only Le Saint Géran or the sumptuous Anahita estate with its villas directly overlooking a championship golf course designed by Ernie Els, world renowned golfer.

Luxury beachfront villas, upscale apartments, modern penthouses, beachfront houses, you will surely find your happiness on the sublime East coast of Mauritius.

Trou d'Eau Douce, pitorresque village, has become in a few years a seaside resort. Discover this fishing village on the edge of a turquoise bay, with its beautiful pristine white sandy beaches and colorful Mauritian customs! It is also from this village that the departure for the mythical and heavenly Île aux Cerfs is made.

Belle Mare, a top location for luxury hotels, is close to the main shopping centres of the region and the bus station. With its 10 kilometres of white sand, covered randomly by the shade of coconut trees, Belle Mare is a pure exaltation, and overlooks one of the most beautiful lagoons of the Indian Ocean!

The beautiful and quiet village of Roches Noires is the closest village to the North, located less than 30 minutes from Grand Baie. You will find some shops such as a bakery and a grocery store fine. It is also not far from the Azuri development, one of the most renowned real estate projects in the country, housing many types of property in order to be accessible to all. It is a small village, you will find there everything you need to live a peaceful family life.

Finally, Poste Lafayette looks like Roches Noires, but is further away from the North. The beach is sumptuous, and it is home to a famous kite surf spot, where surfers from the region meet every weekend when the weather is good.
