South

The South is a peaceful and wild area, where you can enjoy nature and tranquility while staying close to shops, schools and clinics. Its landscape is radically different from the rest of the island, and its coast consists of cliffs beaten by waves, offering exceptional panoramas. There are plenty of hiking opportunities, and you’ll find impressive waterfalls and stunning views. Also take advantage of the award-winning 18-hole championship golf course in Valriche, as well as numerous kite surf spots at Le Morne, Pointe d'Esny, or Bel Ombre, which offer a huge playground for insiders. In this largest lagoon on the island, each session is a unique and memorable experience!

The Wild South, it is also the sublime road of Bel Ombre, the waterfall of Rochester Falls next to the typical village of Souillac, the Natural Bridge in the middle of the rocks by the sea, or the Macondé viewpoint, offering an impressive panorama of the Indian Ocean.

In the South-East, discover Pointe d'Esny and its Paradise Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with its crystal-clear waters lined with white sand. This beach offers shallow and calm waters, 2 kilometers off the Barrier Reef. It is also a renowned kitesurfing spot. You will find sublime waterfront villas and penthouses, as well as the real estate development of Pointe d'Esny le Village, a few minutes from the beach.

Diving and snorkelling enthusiasts, Blue Bay, right next to Pointe d'Esny, is renowned for its marine park, where you can dive to admire some of the most beautiful coral formations still preserved on the island.

The South East is also home to Mauritius International Airport, which is extremely well connected and modern, just a few minutes drive from Pointe d'Esny.

Mahebourg, the former capital, charming and pitorresque, will make you discover the Mauritius of before, with its typical market and its thousand flavors. There are all the communities, but also many fishermen in this coastal city.

Bel Ombre, an ancient sugar land, is now a place known for its turquoise lagoon and its beautiful landscapes, between beaches, mountains and sugarcane fields. Take a break in the beautiful nature reserve of Frederica, and admire breathtaking views from the succession of valleys and hills.

Bel Ombre is also home to a beautifully placed real estate development, on the Heritage Golf Estate, voted the most beautiful golf course in the Indian Ocean on multiple occasions. Indeed, the Villas Valriche, nestled on the heights of Bel Ombre, will seduce you with their stunning views of the sea, and direct access to the Heritage Golf Club.

These villas are served by one of the most beautiful roads of the Island, along the numerous luxury hotels of the South of Mauritius as well as the beautiful beaches of Saint Felix or Pomponnette. Not far away, you will find the fishing village of Baie du Cap, but also the famous mountain of Le Morne, part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

This region, between mountains and ocean, is full of superb hikes, views and waterfalls that will delight adventurers.
